Glossary

What the terms mean.

The words we use for the Formula AI Control Centre, in plain English. A Connected Colleague is always an AI agent; the people in your organisation are your team members.

Formula AI Control Centre
CogniScale's platform for giving every person an AI co-CEO, and a Connected Colleague for each task they repeat.
AI co-CEO
Each person's own AI working partner, like a chief of staff. It knows their goals, inbox, diary and meetings, sets out the day in a morning briefing and carries work forward for them to review.
Morning briefing
Your co-CEO's summary at the start of the day: what needs your attention, the meetings ahead and the replies waiting for you.
Connected Colleague
An AI agent you create for one area of work or one recurring task, such as finance, sales or client reports. Each one works alongside your co-CEO.
Team members
The people in your organisation who use the Control Centre. A test drive is for you and up to five team members.
Skill
A reusable set of instructions, standards and examples that helps your co-CEO or a Connected Colleague do a particular kind of work, such as writing in your brand and tone of voice.
CogniScale Helper
The application on your Mac or Windows computer that connects the Formula AI Control Centre to Claude Code.
Workspace Brain
An optional paid upgrade that keeps a current, shared picture of your organisation's clients, projects and decisions, from sources you agree. People and Connected Colleagues see only what their level allows.
Personal Brain
Each person's private working space on their own computer: their notes, drafts and personal context. It is private by design, and shared organisational knowledge stays separate.
Team Pulse
A short survey every two months on how people are using AI, how confident they feel and where they need support.
Agent engine
The technology that allows an AI co-CEO or Connected Colleague to use tools, work across files and systems and carry multi-step work through to completion.
Test drive
A free 14-day trial for you and up to five team members, with a further 14 days when you share your feedback at the end.

For how it all works, read the platform guide.
